Anchorage area - Portage Glacier Cruise
    If you have your own transportation (car/RV rentals), then a drive to Portage Glacier is truly worthwhile. As you skirt the shores of Turnagain Arm, watch for wildlife. When you arrive at Lake Portage, board the M/V Ptarmigan for an unforgettable one hour cruise across iceberg-dotted Portage Lake. Take a seat in the enclosed lounge or on the open-air observation deck. The cruise is narrated by a representative of the U.S. Forest Service. The cruise will conclude at the original departure point, allowing you to continue your drive at leisure. Available from May 16 through September 14, 2007.

Anchorage area - Portage Glacier Cruise plus Tour
    Head out the scenic Seward Highway to Portage Glacier. As you skirt the shores of Turnagain Arm, watch for wildlife. Stop at the Begich-Boggs Visitor Center to see the glaciology exhibits. Then board the M/V Ptarmigan for an unforgettable one hour cruise across iceberg-dotted Portage Lake. Take a seat in the enclosed lounge or on the open-air observation deck. The cruise is narrated by a representative of the U.S. Forest Service. On the way back to Anchorage, stop at the Alyeska Ski Resort for a lunch on your own and an optional tram ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska.

    A deluxe city tour of Anchorage including a visit to the 25-acre Alaska Native Heritage Center, a new foundation developed by Alaskan native corporations in recognition and tribute to the distance culture of the Alaskan people.
